Desperately needs some fixes. Holes in the wall, bathroom door looks like it was smashed with a hammer, broken outlets, a suspiciously bent metal hanger on the wall, very thin walls such that I could hear everything on the street, lights that didn’t work, and overall very drafty. Also only two very thin pillows. Capital improvements and repairs desperately needed. Something perhaps easier to fix would be the cleanliness. The space overall felt really unclean, with stained furniture, dirty surfaces, dust, a lingering smell, and a dirty shower. A dated space is more forgivable if it’s clean in my opinion. It was a convenient location, and I wish the best for this business to make the needed improvements and thrive, as it looks like it could have been a great place.
Everyone who says this place is nice is lying. This was one of THE weirdest and most uncomfortable hotels I have ever stayed in. Black dust in the bathroom, broken light shades, two small pillows in a king bed, cigarette burns in the sheets, a couch covered in visible stains. Maybe the most jarring was that the entire edifice -- floors, ceilings, walls -- was crumbling. The floor buckled so bad I tripped over raised floorboards. There were open holes in the wall and the ceiling. It could be a lack of funds, but there were a lot of negative parts about this experience that can only be attributed to a lack of care and respect for their guests. It felt cursed.
I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel in baltimore for a conference paid for by my mentor; I didn’t want to over spend. I saw this hotel, good location, good price, and I saw some nice photos; I made the mistake of not reading any reviews. I booked as a ‘later pay’ booking through Expedia and the hotel took my credit card on arrive.||||The first thing I noticed on my way to my room was that the place smelled like cigarettes. I was reassured that my room had a no smoking sign on the door but it didn’t smell much different inside. I’m pretty tolerant and I almost decided to stay, but the place was disgusting. There was no toilet paper, I had to use some Kleenex. The bathroom had some notes written in the was by previews guests and just wasn’t very clean; the toilet did not look well sc
