Amazing service and location! Easy parking. It’s an older property, but has been remodeled. Great for a girls trip. Walking distance to shopping and bars. Pool was lovely and relaxed, drinks at the pool were expensive and not the best. We were there during the week, but seemed like they had a DJ there for the weekend that would’ve been a good time for those that wanted a bit more excitement.
I had a really great experience here! I was welcomed by Kenzie at the front desk. She was kind and accommodating. Although the hotel is going through some renovations right now, the location is phenomenal, the service is great, and the rooms are comfortable! Thank you Monarch! We will see ya soon!
November 3, 2025. Booked through a 3rd party. Called for an early check in. The lady was super kind. Upon arrival I met her, she was so nice. I did read reviews after I booked and found out about the construction. I'm glad I knew about it or I'd be sad. The hotel really is under construction, not just paint. The room was one of the remodeled ones. It was ok. Clean enough to sleep. Sure there were a few long black hairs but they didn't bother me, some suff under the bed like trash, again didn't bother me. The location is perfect. Walk to a lot of places. The noise from the construction was minimal and I didn't have any issues with hot water. I'd stay here again.
While this hotel is located in a great spot, and has high potential once their remodel is done, I do not think it is in condition for guests to book at this time. When looking online, the false advertising shows a beautiful hotel, with a vibrant lobby, and pool, along with beautifully re done rooms. Upon arrival to my stay two weeks ago, we were directed to a make shift lobby of a fold out table and chairs. When we got to our room, the sliding door was broken and wouldn't lock, and the main door to the room closed and locked, but didn't fit the door hole properly and you could see through the edges into the hallway. The room seemed to have been updated, however the bathroom still had mildew and mold on the ceilings, and the showers were covered in dirt on the floor. To top it all off,
The rooms are dated and need serious work. The bed was uncomfortable. The room was bare and poorly lit. There is a major renovation taking place but that was not indicated anywhere on the hotel site. Walls are very thin. The water pressure in the shower was literally a drip. Hot water was not even an option. The door to the bathroom was an unfinished sliding door without any handles or locks. Very disappointed. The only upside is location and proximity to Old Scottsdale.
