Customer Reviews
Stayed at The Mark Hotel in New York during the Christmas period, and honestly, for this price, the experience was shockingly poor 👎. I understand holiday premium pricing is normal, but paying around $5k for three nights for a Madison King room was extremely disappointing. The room was visibly old, poorly maintained, noisy, and dirty. Dust, stains, and grime were everywhere. Soundproofing was terrible, and even the fridge was unusually loud. After reporting the issues, the manager’s only solution was a room upgrade. The staff did help move and reorganize our belongings and specifically noted that we had two refrigerated gifts in the fridge — yet somehow, those items were lost during the move. This hotel never lets you down …from the moment you check in there is a level of personalized service that in my opinion is unparalleled.|I travel quite a bit and this hotel has managed to keep the important aspects of a fine hotel at the forefront. The cleanliness of the room, the soft linen and huge bath towels -the abundance of water bottles in the room -all the creature comforts are accounted for .|Each time you enter you are greeted by your name ,my adult daughter was coming /going and they even realized she was mine ,in an impersonal city like New York I find that reassuring and comforting.||I’ve stayed here many many times and I will be back ….
Value for money it is not. The lobby is very unappealing and not welcoming, so that there is not any inclination to hang out in the lobby waiting for your partner or guest or anyone else. Furthermore the hotdog stand outside means everything in the front of the ground floor including the bar smells of hotdog. Which frankly has the opposite effect of coffee. The dining room is perhaps the most disappointing feature. Very dark and dingy and overall unappealing. I went in there and a woman was eating a takeaway pizza out of a box next to me while I paid $12 for a ginger ale. The proximity to the park is the main plus. If you stay in your room that is a plus too. Outside the rooms the hotel is a disappointment and it's hedonistic utility is low. They make much of the John Lobb shoe cleaning s

I lost my $600 lv scarf and called the hotel to see if they saw it and when I asked they hung up didn’t give me no answer I called again and they did the same thing. Super sketch for this to be a upscale hotel.
