Great neighborhood / location. Cozy atmosphere - love the fireplace and books. It's quiet, but incredibly friendly and warm. Room was small while being comfortable and not cramped. The hotel is welcoming of pets (2 max) which was a huge plus in my case. Every exchange I had with hotel staff was friendly and kind. Great rate! Will definitely be back! I have no complaints! It was a lovely stay. :) Thank you!

Awesome experience! I have visited NYC a number of times, staying at a range of hotels including 5 star ones. This hotel is perfect. Cozy, just the right size. The rooms are a little small but somehow space is utilized well enough where it doesn’t feel cramped. The theme is all about being on a ship - windows are fun and general vibe is as well. Staff is EXCEPTIONAL. Free Breakfast is surprisingly good! Highly recommend.

Location, all that matters.Staff was great, helpful, and kind to help us all the way. Especially the person at the door with whom I had a very personal and meaningful conversation. Fireplace in the lobby, next level spot for your socials.Breakfast is not really my thing. European taste (even Australian one) is very different from local US ones. It's good to have, but around, there are always options.

I was a little hesitant about my stay here as it's an older hotel but I found my room to be comfortable and while a little musty I would consider staying here again if the prices are as reasonable. I paid just under $300 a night in Dec. and had room 801 which was pristine and spotless each day-kudos to housekeeping! By city hotel room standards I thought the room had plenty of space especially as a single traveler. The staff at the hotel was fantatstic. The hotel's location is fantastic. That said, the restaurant was under construction during my stay and that was a bummer and should have been communicated in advance of the stay. The breakfast they serve is nice but the coffee is terrible. The room is dated with a tv from 2001 and very few outlets. The room also lacked air circulation and w

Best smaller hotel in the center of everything! The location is perfect - close to metro and easy to get most places on foot. The hotel is impeccable with lovely and well appointed rooms that make the stay memorable. The place is private and quiet all day long. The lounge area is great for breakfasts or just reading newspapers. We stayed here for our family reunion and everyone was more than happy with this place. We all highly recommend this hotel and we will stay here again on our next visit to NYC!
