The Main Street Hotel

This hotel is a reflection of the city around it and that’s what makes it so special. Unique and full of character. When coming to the Main Street Hotel don’t expect your normal stay at a chain hotel. This feels much more personal, like you’re staying at a relative’s house. The staff was very accommodating and kind.

This hotel was quite comfortable. In fact, the king sized-bed was among the most comfortable I've ever experienced in any hotel. My only complain came with the size of the room, which was very small for two adults and a teen-aged child, but was the only available option with two beds. I can't speak to the other rooms at this hotel, as each room is a different theme, but Room 13 was clean and comfortable, and the furnishings are attractive. I would definitely stay here again (even if I am too tall for the shower, but I'm not the average-sized guest -- 6'7").

What can I say... You just have to see and experience it. Very friendly, welcoming staff! The house and rooms are quite rustic of course and... well, a bit adventurous. Be prepared for a possibly windowless room. Pretty funny for one night. Otherwise clean and practical.

Nice little down home hotel ! Gives you the local feel . Filled with nostalgia and will definitely stay again next time I’m in town !!

Fun, historic, attention to detail. Great place to stay if you appreciate old buildings and quirky furnishings. They provided a fan to help circulate the AC, so if you can give grace to an upstairs room in a very old building with tall ceilings, you will enjoy the change from boring chain hotels on the highway. One note-if you arrive after 5 and pick up your own key, there is a certain ghost town vibe to Main Street that might be unsettling. We didn’t see another living soul from 7 pm until the next morning as we left town. No fault of the hotel, just a heads up. After-hours caretaker was available and helpful via text. A fire station is directly behind the hotel with lights on all night so it felt very safe.
