My new favourite hotel in NYC! Ideal location for exploring nearby East Village / West Village / Noho / Soho on foot. Lots of great shops and cafes nearby. Hotel staff super friendly and accommodating. Loved the hotel gym and rooftop views too. Room itself was chic and classy!
I absolutely love the Ludlow Hotel it has spectacular rooms, amazing bar, wonderful room service and is super vibey for drinks (amazing cocktail list) and Dirty French do amazing food and an amazing burger. I love the area it’s based in the LES which is full of cool shops, galleries, great places to eat, not to mention Katz and then also has an amazing vibe with street art - it reminds me a bit of Shoreditch or Hackney in London - a gritty city kinda buzz. The reason I am rating this one star is because I stayed at the Ludlow and had a room change and rather than accommodate the change smoothly (the night before I asked if they could ensure the room was available close to check out) but I was told the room would only be available at 3pm and to leave the hotel and come back then…. We had a great experience here. It's an elegant hotel. We had a reasonably sized room with an ample shower. The bar and restaurant are quite popular and have a cool vibe. But more than anything, our special appreciation goes to Omar, one of the managers, who went out of his way to improve our stay -- thanks!
We stayed at The Ludlow for 4 nights as a get away vacation to visit NYC. For the price point of 4 nights (3500 dollars), I felt like there were a few things that were lacking in my opinion. The most frustrating aspect is that we were woken up every night between the hours of 12-2am from other guests either in their rooms talking or coming back drunk and loud. There’s nothing quiet about this hotel which I’d expect if you want to be branded as luxury. The downstairs lounge was also always full with people either working during the day or for cocktails in the lobby at night. It seemed that the majority of the people there were not even hotel guests which was frustrating to me since I’m paying to be their guest and I’m not prioritized and couldn’t ever find a seat to snag a cocktail. I feel The Ludlow Hotel is a bit overpriced for what you get. Overall the stay was fine and the location was very convenient to numerous bars and restaurants. There are also subway stops just a couple blocks away for the F M J and Z lines. While the room was decorated nicely and tastefully, the soundproofing is lacking; we were woken up numerous times in the middle of the night by people coming back to their rooms and being drunk and/or loud, as well as the guests above us being... intimate. I will say the water pressure in the shower is the best I've experienced at a hotel in NYC so far though. Service was top notch. From the doorman to the front desk, they definitely excel here. High marks for that. The bar area seemed like a cool spot to hang out. Unfortunately, we didn't get to do t
