The Lodge

The location of the Lodge at suncadia was beautiful. We love the scenery and the lodge itself was super cozy in the rooms were really nice and cozy as well. The only issue that we encountered were the doors within the room. They were super hard to close for the bathroom the bedroom door and the front door.

I deliver instacart here all the time. The place is beyond ordinary for the prices they charge. But the people who work there are awesome and so are the surroundings. I think it's overpriced but if you don't care about paying too much for a best Western caliber hotel room you will not be disappointed by your surroundings.

The rooms are slightly dated but otherwise good enough and more so if you are setup with a great view. The hospitality factor front the specific front desks person was mediocre based on what I have encountered relative to similar 'resort' type location.

The thing that really bothers me and the only reason I'm writing this review is because I left 3 shirts hanging in the closet. I realized this 45 minutes after leaving and called the hotel. They said they'd look and to fill out an online form. A week later of calling/emailing and they don't have them. We actually checked out before our check-out time so the hotel could have sent someone up to get them before the cleaning crew took them. The shirts had sentimental value to me as well. The Lost and Found team were NO help at all. I've accidentally left things in what would probably be considered worse hotels and I've never had a problem getting them back. These were just hanging in the closet. The tvs only get very limited local TV and it's $20+ to stream anything from the very sparce selec

Check in was complicated due to their limited cleaning staff resulting in difficulties with cleaning rooms. We arrived at 2:30 and did not get a room until 5:30 even though check in was supposed to be at 4. This was difficult for us because we had young kids and elderly parents with us.
