Excellent stay in a unique and well-run property||I stayed at Leo House in December 2025 and would happily give it five stars. The location is excellent for Chelsea and Midtown, the bed was very comfortable, and the overall sense of security and calm was reassuring. The fact that Leo House is operated as a Catholic Church–run non-profit organisation gives the property a strong sense of purpose, and it is clear that the organisation is doing very good work.||The breakfast offering is very good. Leo House is in a very convenient location in New York. But the amenities and facilities is really lacking.

Leo House is a unique and wonderful experience if it is for you. Its location in Chelsea is perfect - a block away from 2 train lines and another block away from 2 more. It is a neighborhood with restaurants, bars, palm readers, dog trainers - just about anything you might need or want. |It is clean and well maintained but it is not fancy. I don't know if it's true of all rooms, but if you want a bathtub or a shower, you need to take a short walk down the hall. The rooms that I have stayed in all have their own toilets and sinks. |The staff is exceptional and will go out of their way to get you what you need. Free Breakfast is not like a chain motel off a highway but is well thought out healthy buffet. They do not serve breakfast on Sunday. |There is no workout room, each room does

We chose Leo House Hotel as it was cheaper than most places in New York but we didn't know what to expect. However we were delighted. The hotel is in a great location with supermarkets and restaurants close by along with the subway and access to the Highline both minutes away. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with an ensuite shower room and we slept really well. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are provided along with makeup removal wipes, body lotion and shower caps. Atmosphere is peaceful, calm and unfussy in this understated lodging. You get a sense of complete safety when entering this place. The people who work there are direct and unpretentious but also kind and caring. I had the best sleep I've had in 20 years because I felt so relaxed here. The bathrooms are simple and small but clean. Easy to get to the Hotel. It's 2 blocks from the NY subway so you can get to any airport easily too. The views are fine, nothing spectacular but we were there to rest, sleep, eat and explore as well as visit relatives in Manhatten.
