Customer Reviews
I have stayed at The Landing many times over the last six years and it never disappoints. Every condo is very clean and comfortable with nice furnishings and nautical decor. The balconies have wonderful views of the harbor, Yaquina Bay Bridge and sunsets. Easy walk to shops and restaurants. The sea lions are vocal throughout the day and night but musical. The boat piers are locked up now but understandable that it's for safety measures. The kitchens are always well stocked with tableware, pots, pans, skillets and coffee. We usually bring a meal-kit with us for a dinner or two depending how many nights we stay. The Landing is our go-to place in Newport.
My daughter wanted to go to the beach for the first time instead of having a party for her 6th birthday. We drove from Roseburg, Oregon to come here. I don't think we'll ever stay at a different hotel in Newport! This place was so amazing that we paid for an additional night, we didn't feel ready to leave yet! Normally anywhere you go has at least one great staff member. Here, every single person on the team has been great. I swear I could just sit and chit chat forever with them. Meagan helped make my daughter's birthday experience even better by giving me balloons and a pump in secret, so she woke up to those in the morning! This has been the best family trip ever. The staff alone make me wish I owned one of the condos here, best place in town.
Positive: The condo rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The view is pretty and the fireplace is cozy. Two bathrooms in a one bedroom condo was a definite plus. Negative: No elevator access on one side of the hotel. We had to lug our suitcases up and down a flight of stairs which is not the easiest with health issues.
Condos with kitchens, decks, and beautiful views of the harbor and the bridge. Our two bedroom condo was spacious, clean, and quiet. The kitchen had plenty of utensils, dishes, pans, etc. and all appliances were in good working order. We had an amazing sunset view. ( see attached). Very easy check- in at the reception desk.
We stayed in unit 303 and loved it. The view of the harbor, bay, and bridge was beautiful, especially at sunset. There is a patio with chairs for enjoying the nice weather and listening to the sea lions. The unit is very clean, well-organized, and nicely decorated. Not only is there a king-sized bed, but there is also a sofa sleeper and two bathrooms so there is plenty of space for a few people to be comfortable. It is centrally located near several attractions, shops, and restaurants. If you prefer to eat in, the kitchen is well stocked for cooking. During our stay we walked along the bay front, visited the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and took a short drive to Depot Bay, just to name a few.
