The Lake Inn at Mt. Sunapee

Stayed a week the last two years to ski and we love this place. Awesome value with great views. Steve is a really nice owner and takes good care of the units and outside area. Mike and marnie - Pittsburgh pa

the owners are very pleasant and accommodating. we had to switch rooms at check in due to delayed housekeeping, at no fault of their own. the room was small, and the bathroom even smaller (and slightly cursed: my friend lost her earring down the shower drain and i lost my toothbrush to the floor behind the back of the toilet) but it was exactly what we were looking for. a warm bed and cable tv as close to the mountain and as affordable as possible. the shower was a bit brisk on the second night, but i might have just been showering at the same time as the person upstairs. it snowed during our stay, and the walkways were shoveled and salted and the driveway plowed accordingly.

After reading reviews we decided to book here for a weekend get away. The view was very nice although there is no lake access that we were made aware of. While the room was clean it was definitely dated. The bedding was nice and the mattress was comfortable. We were on the bottom floor and the room was musty and damp perhaps because of recent rains. The furniture is worn and the bathroom very tiny. The patio is really the asphalt walkway outside the room and the light above our section was burned out. There was an ice bucket in the room but we never saw an ice machine nor did we hear about a continental breakfast as a number of reviewers mentioned. It seemed if you wanted to sit by the fire pit that you would have to build the fire yourself. For any of these an information sheet

While the room was very clean and convenient to Mount Sunapee, it was definitely very dated. When I checked in for a 2 night stay my room was 59dgs and the heat was not working. He came and checked and said if it didn't start working I could have a space heater so I could shower. Never saw him again till I complained again the next day. He told me I could get a refund but unfortunately I had a wedding that night and that's why I was there. He brought a space heater. I asked if he had another room available but he said no, even though we noticed a couple of empty rooms. He did finally clean the bathroom of one of them (said people just checked out) so I could at least shower. Also told me they only used one bed so I could sleep in the other one!!! I did bring my stuff to other room

Charming, cosy, and lovely little hotel. The owners were great and the room was so clean and welcoming. The perfect place to spend a week relaxing, loved the enclosed porch which provided a great place to watch the lake in all it's moods and lighting. Will definitely be returning! Thank you for making the week so relaxing!
