Customer Reviews
Pros: courteous and friendly staff; comfy bed; location right by Times Square and nearby two subway stations||Cons: Junk Fees(!) and other sneaky charges; towels a bit worn; shower could use a bit more pressure and drains were a bit slow. ||Details: From the doors to the desk to the elevators and bell stand, the hotel staff are great. They’re friendly and helpful. ||The room was generally well appointed, with a comfortable bed. We had a Premier level room, which was good sized by NYC standards. Bathroom was well-finished with plenty of floor space. Towels were a bit worn around the edges, but ok. ||Just be aware this hotel forces steep “Residency Fees” of $45+taxes (so totals $53+ per night). So, plan on paying 10-25% more than the listed rate. Positive: location Negative: this is not a 5 star hotel as advertised, room cleanliness can be improved (e.g., bath products not wiped from wall), room surfaces dirty, walls in bad shape, not nice rooms
It’s always a gamble when it comes to hotel rooms in nyc, you never know what you’re truly going to get no matter what the pictures look like. However the Knickerbocker delivered on all fronts and will be my new go-to every time I visit the city. BRANDON at the front deck checked us in and I immediately knew by his welcoming energy and excellent service it was going to be a great stay. When he found out we were celebrating a birthday he graciously upgraded our room. Not only that, he sent up a bottle of Chardonnay and delicious birthday cake! My mom was over the moon!! The room itself was OUTSTANDING, a premier corner suite with tons of windows and views of Times Square. Room felt 5 star luxury, I’m talking four season level. Very spacious, modern, clean, comfortable. Diptyque toiletri
The rooms are very clean and chic looking. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the bathrooms. Very spacious and not cramped at all. The staff was friendly as we passed. Very quiet and love the black out curtains at night. They did turn down service as well. I would highly recommend.
The service was exceptional. Gania took great care of us at breakfast each morning. The location was perfect. Nice pillows in the room. The location is close to the subway making it easy to get to all the great spots. They had umbrellas for us to borrow on a rainy morning. The breakfast buffet is delicious.
