The Kingsley Hotel

I would compare my stay here to an essential coming of age relationship. It was never going to be the one, I’m not bringing this place up to my ma, but it was formative to getting to know Lake Arrowhead. It has some fond memories and I’m not looking back on it with any hard feelings. Incredibly convenient, it’s the crush next door of real estate locations. Nestled between small town staple antiquing, nearly walkable to arrowhead village, directly across from a gas station, and unavoidably easy to navigate to even if you have a hard time in wooded mountain roads. As all young relationships inevitably come together in large part due to the ease of access, kingsley’s booking and check in process panders to our modern need to be coy and avoid direct contact, dealing beautifully in passed mes

The Kingsley is a unique hotel. It’s like a cross between a hotel and an Airbnb without the uncertainty that can come with an Airbnb. We stayed in a king suite which was large and had a kitchenette. Immaculately clean, modern and comfortable. While there is no staff on site, the remote communication was very responsive. The only ding is their early check out and cancellation policy. Read the fine print.

I loved staying at Kingsley in Lake Arrowhead! The location is fantastic, just a short walk away from the village and next door to some fun shops. The room was clean and modern. The clubhouse for guests was super cute, well decorated, and so useful! We used the tea & coffee station, the microwave, and the fun ice maker. All the glassware and silverware was cute and ready to use too. We loved chilling on the couch and watching tv. This hotel is perfect for anyone who wants a nice relaxing stay in lake arrowhead.

Best place to stay in Lake Arrowhead! We have stayed in many rental homes and hotels in this area and this is by far the best. Very cozy room. So many amenities. Immediate response for any questions I had. The clubhouse was a huge bonus to stretch out and play games and watch movies. Someday I hope to do a buyout and use the clubhouse for an event.

The photos on the website are misleading. The rooms appear to include kitchens, but in reality the kitchen is shared, and the utensils in the drawers were dirty when we arrived. The shower only had a curtain with no enclosure, so water went all over the bathroom floor, and we didn’t have hot water. The rooms themselves were extremely small with very little space to move around, and the outdoor fire pit didn’t work during our stay. Overall it felt more like an unattended Airbnb than a hotel, especially for the $600/night price. Communication with the host was also difficult. After fully prepaying, I received multiple messages about providing a US phone number for SMS. Even after providing 3 phone numbers, I continued receiving repeated messages stating that communication is only available
