Lake Arrowhead Chalets

My wife and I stayed at the apartment for a week. Both of us work during the day time. The place is comfortable. Wi-Fi is fast enough for remote office work. Staff is friendly. The place is quite. Kitchen is adequate. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. It is more than enough. The TV sets are not high definition, but it does have Direct TV channels. Overall, our experience was positive.

First impression was the dirty wooden stairs up to the entrance door. They needed painting but in the weather that was ok. Just wish it wasn't getting me dirty when I held onto the rail. Hot days there in Sept. No Air conditioning. I didn't realize that when I booked it. Clean unit and pretty well kept, except for the ceiling fans that wobbled so much you worried they'd come crashing down. Office notes said do not contact maintenance unless it's an emergence, so we didn't complain. We were worrying if the fans would fall on us. Master Fan only ran on high or off. No ice maker that would have been nice but not a big deal. Bought ice at Stater Bros. Unit was well furnished, but I did think it would be bigger in the living areas by the pictures. We loved it here! Stayed in room #314 Cleanest rooms we have ever stayed in. And going to the shops and grocery store is highly convenient. -Being able to access game boards at our own discretion and risk would have been nice.... Considering that option was removed for us because of (COVID). Guests should be able to decide their own risks of playing board games. - The controller didn't have batteries for the DVD player... We managed to press the button on the DVD player itself. And we only watched DVDs for one night so there was no need for us to request batteries from the office. We were quite comfortable. And we had the best experience.

Unit was clean and well stocked in terms of amenities, but there is NO AIR CONDITIONING!! It was 85° in our unit and since there was no breeze outside it took forever to cool down. There are ceiling fans in the bedrooms, but those didn’t help much. Spring or fall might be fine, but during the summer it got VERY hot. Kitchen cabinets need to be updated as they are faded and discolored. The complex is about a mile from the lake, but if you walk that mile, you have no access because the lake is private so you can’t even walk along the trail that follows the edge of the lake.

We had a very nice split level with three bedrooms. Perfect for an extended family vacation. Decent size kitchen and large dining room table. Lots of fans to help keep it cool on warm days. Nice mountain location close to the lake and the village. Just wish there were some kind of sidewalk to get there. Lots of great hiking trails nearby.
