The Kendall

When we checked in the charm of The Kendall Inn was evident. It's as if you are stepping back in time The young lady that checked us in was so helpful We had not made a reservation. She took me and showed me available rooms. We stayed in The Sewing Room. We liked it because it faced the courtyard. We build a fire that evening and sat outside to enjoy the evening. |It is definitely not a new hotel. You stay here for the charm of this place. The downfall for this room was the mattress. Definitely needs to be replaced. It was not comfortable which made for a long night.

Positive: Centralized to everything g we wanted to do and see in Boerne. Onsite restaurant (Peggy?s On The Green) is fantastic food, wine, and whiskey selections. Staff was great, bar is very nice. Negative: Nope

Everyone was very nice, but there were a lot of things that Ientioned multiple times for my wedding that just didn't happen. I asked for my cake topper to be brought to my room and it was, but no one made sure i knew where and it was lost. There weren't the vegan meals I requested in advance, and the kid meal menu is asked for and double checked would be there was changed and I didn't know. I had a special cupcake for my matron of honor due to dietary issues, and it was never given to her even though I told multiple people her name and role. There was a lot of turnover, but I communicated frequently and in writing and there were still a number of issues. I had to repeat instructionsultiple times to multiple people. We were so looking forward to staying here as a base for 3 days at the end of our road trip in Texas but we were so disappointed. First off- the positives. The bed was comfortable and the location is very good. But there is a long list of negatives. Stayed in a Garden Courte Room- the walls are so thin you can here your neighbours tv, but to add to that we had the loudest, mother and middle aged daughter duo next to us who spent the early hours talking at top volume about their high blood pressure. Asked reception to politely ask them to be more mindful but there’s no chance that message was given as it continued the whole stay. My husband and I stayed here for two nights just after Christmas and we loved it! I never write reviews but this place deserves it! The atmosphere was perfect and quaint! The fireplace in the courtyard was great for late night convos with a glass of wine! We stayed in the sewing room! We had a ton of space, the bed was super comfy and the clawfoot tub was the cherry on top! If you’re debating where to stay on your trip to Boerne the Kendall is definitely where you need to go!
