Pamper yourself to a historical hotel in the heart of Death Valley. Close to most of the iconic places. We had a deluxe room and it was super comfortable (beds were very plush and super high off the ground) with a mini fridge and beautiful tiled bathroom. Only downside is the water pressure was low in the shower and they ran out of robes. Definitely go for a swim in the spring fed pool - it was warm but not super warm - and the sauna was great afterwards to dry off quickly. Food at the restaurant was very good. They have a lounge menu if you wanted to order more sharables and smaller portion meals - recommend doing that on the patio with a beautiful view. Finding the pool and the star gazing terrace took a little while to find. Definitely check out the star gazing terrace!! Expensive place
We stayed at this Xanaterra location for four nights with a large family group who have diverse interests. There was something for everyone- our group variously did golfing, pickleball, workout gym, sauna, spa massages, off road jeeping, horseback riding and hiking. We joined up at night for delicious dinners on the Inn patio, and rate the chef, baker and waitstaff very highly. Inn management and Dining Room Management went out of their way to assist our group with whatever was needed. We stayed in casitas with private patios and golf carts to navigate the property, and found them very attractive, comfortable, and clean. We highly recommend the Inn if you are planning a visit to this rugged, spectacular national park!
Love this resort- gorgeous views. The rooms can be great, depending on location (2nd floor deluxe rooms the best). The rooms are super clean, modern bathrooms with plenty of hot water. My only complaint are the mattresses. Some rooms are in desperate need of new mattresses, some are 'ok'. Otherwise you cannot go wrong here. The dining room has excellent food, especially for a National Park, the best we've ever had. Friendly staff and perfect location for exploring around Death Valley.
Our family of 5 stayed in one of the duplex casitas. The kids LOVED the golf cart part and we appreciated that there was good wi-fi and TV service to keep them happy. My husband was a little under the weather so we spent more time in the room than anticipated, so I'm glad the casitas were comfortable. We are on premise for breakfast, which is what you would expect though I'll say the eggs benedict were pretty solid. We did not eat there for dinner since both a dress code and keeping 3 littles well-behaved sounded not fun. The staff was helpful and attentive. It was a great base camp for lots of places in the park. We highly recommend this place for families. It's close to the Ranch too so you can get the best of both worlds. My oldest has already asked to go back.
I feel that a lot of negative reviews, regarding this property, are from travelers who have not stayed at national Park hotels. The price, for this hotel, as similar to almost all national Park properties. The Inn is nicer, but 50% more expensive!! ||We loved our stay. The room, was basic, but there was hot water, in room, coffee, a balcony, and comfortable beds.||The restaurant selection is really good. We loved the atmosphere of the last chance saloon, and my burger was delicious. We had lunch outdoors at the Wild Rose Tavern, with fabulous food and service.||One of the best meals, that I have ever had, any national park, was at the inn restaurant - would recommend a reservation here.||The pool was great. The water was nice and warm. No hot tub is a bummer (The Inn has one). I like t
