The Hudson Inn

It's like the hotel gods were on our side, we luckily stumbled upon Carol's suites as we were looking for a place to stay in Friday Harbor for a kayak tour. Our room was the Newt Suite and perfect for our 2 day stay there. There is a larger one that she accidentally put us in, however I belive that one is more expensive and meant for people with dogs since there's a door to the exterior. I'm a little sensitive about the smells so that one definitely had a pet odor. Carol realized she brought us to the wrong room thank goodness because our sweet was really clean and a nice breeze with the windows open. ||||Overall the location was amazing and worth it to walk anywhere around Friday Harbor. We also walked to the farmer's market which was just a couple blocks away. Thanks Carol!

Stayed at Etta's Place in mid July 2016 for 3 nights. Problem with overbooking at check-in but Carol remedied this by giving up her in-house apartment for our use which has great amenities and an inconvenience discount off our bill. Despite the shuffling around at first, we really enjoyed our stay. Suites were clean and equipped with furniture and appointments to match the 1800s style of house. Comfortable beds and cute kitchenette (no oven or toaster however.) Very short walk from the village commercial area/ferry dock. Easy to walk to a wide variety of restaurants. I would stay here again. Loved the flowers in the yard :)

Etta's Place is a wonderful gem I found in Friday Harbor. It's located in town, near the ferry, stores, and grocery store. The owner, Carol, has been so welcoming and my studio has been furnished so nicely and the queen bed's super comfortable. There's also a pull out sofa if needed. ||I highly recommend Etta's Place if you're staying in Friday Harbor. Oh, and another very nice thing is that I have my dogs with me.

The owner, Carol, is friendly and always willing to do anything to make our stay better. Carol goes out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. I would return without hesitation. The kitchen has all of the wares one needs. Ettas Place is just three blocks from Downtown. You can easily walk to any of Friday Harbors' stores or restaurants. Off street parking a plus.

Better than I could have hoped for. The owner Carol went out of her way to make me and my wife feel welcome on our honeymoon. More like a nice apartment than a hotel room. Right in the heart of town and walking distance from all the downtown shops and ferry. Probably won’t bring our car next time we come and save on the ferry cost.
