Discovery Inn

What a lovely surprise, rooms are wonderful and affordable!! Spa feeling, wonderful coffee/beverage station, bath bombs, robes, slippers, fresh flowers, wonderful appointments. Quiet, birds in the morning. In love, will stay here every time. Mel the property manager is so very nice and welcoming!

I went for girls trip to the Olympic National Park and then on to the San Juans. The Discovery Inn was such a wonderful Oasis for our stay. Spotlessly clean, incredibly friendly owner and staff who all take pride in the property. Lawn games, great outdoor seating areas, a hot tub. Just so wonderful to have a soft place to land every night, with easy, free, on site parking. Bonus! Right next door to the library and walkable to the Harbor (sans luggage). I would recommend to anyone and hope to stay with them again.

My wife and I stayed here over the weekend for our 3rd anniversary and it was amazing!! Staff was accommodating with a slightly earlier check in and gave us a king suite when I book a queen. The staff was kind and helpful with recommendations on good spots to eat around Friday Harbor. Room was clean and the highlight for us was how comfortable the bed was. 10/10 would revisit and highly recommend anyone who is visiting or just needs a weekend in a nice place.

We had an absolutely perfect and lovely stay at Discovery Inn. We can’t say enough positives…the customer service that we experienced was fabulous and felt sincere. It reminded me of southern hospitality at its finest! Everyone has mentioned all the nice little extras and cleanliness and the beautiful grounds. We didn’t hear any traffic and find it hard to believe that someone noted it was heavy all night. We didn’t have that experience at all! It is not downtown in the middle of all the traffic, and people…but in a sweet quiet area slightly outside of town. Thank you Alexis and “Staff” for the opportunity for a little quiet and peaceful time in your beautiful accommodations!

I travel a lot, and it's been some time since I've had a hotel experience like this. The care and attention to detail really stands out here. Super friendly/accommodating stuff, comfortable/cozy rooms, great location, and lots of "extras" (all of the lawn games, the coffee machine in the lobby, hot tub, etc) made it a pleasure to stay here.
