Formal Complaint: Ruined 40th Birthday Celebration - Demand for Resolution To the Management of Élysée's Hotel & Spa, We are writing this review with profound disappointment to detail the complete failure of your establishment in delivering the premium experience we paid for, which resulted in the ruin of my daughter’s 40th birthday celebration on Saturday, October 18th. This formal complaint follows an entirely insufficient phone call from your team that offered no solution, no genuine apology, and no action. Our expectation for a significant family milestone was met with an experience that was unprofessional, medically concerning, and financially exploitative. The specific failures were egregious: 1. We really enjoyed our 5 night stay at the Hotel Elysee. Our last couple of visits to Manhattan we stayed at the Royalton, which has a very hip, modern vibe. It was nice, but we wanted something a little homier this time, and Hotel Elysee was just right. It's charming, feels like there's a history to it. No, the furniture wasn't brand new, but the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom spotless, the service good. Very good location for visiting museums, the park, and 5th ave, without being too noisy or bustling. We will stay there again and recommend to others.

I travel since 25 years to NY, but never I have been in such a terrible unfriendly Hotel. I stayed there 1 week and spent a lot of money 3500 Dollar for a terrible service. At the reception people are very rude and unprofessional. They forgot to make the wake up calls, forgot to organise the Taxi to the airport. When asking for something they don't take care, eating at the same time or don't listen. If you need something , you have to tell all employees because they do not communicate between each others. Not to mention that the elevator did not worked, the internet and phone did not worked either, no hair dryer or show caps ( we run out of it ) My room was very noisy and dark. Never ever again.

Our #1 favorite hotel in Manhattan! The hotel has an old world charm and the feel of a European hotel. The location in midtown is excellent. The valet parking is distinctive among Manhattan hotels. It is also one of the hotels with a high quality restaurant right next door - the Monkey Bar! On the second floor of the hotel is the Library where there is a simple self-serve breakfast accompanied by morning papers and lovely chairs. The staff are without exception friendly and attentive. We would not book anywhere else!

We’ve stayed here quite a number of times. Love it. Rooms are big, clean, beds very comfortable. Old fashioned charm with excellent service. The complimentary club floor has a nice array of snacks, drinks and plenty of charm. Great location. Walk to theater, museums, Central Park. We received a complimentary upgrade to a suite this time. Can I win the lottery and live here?
