The Hideout at Palo Duro Canyon

Andrea has a little slice of heaven just outside the entrance to Palo Duro State Park. we stayed in the Buffalo Lodge. Our entire experience was wonderful. The amenities she provides are first class......fresh eggs, sausages, pancake mix.....all so good! The toiletries were very high quality. The TV is Roku, which was fine with us as we could watch all the streaming services (nice to chill in the cabin after a long day in the park). The mini horses and goats on the property were precious. The cabin has a nice size enclosed porch which was perfect for sitting and enjoying nature while not having to deal with the pesky flies. The main bed was super comfortable , with really soft linens! Andrea herself was a delight to deal with, so response and attentive to all our needs. A very sweet soul!

My husband and I attended an event in Canyon and wanted to spend some time riding our bikes and hiking without having to camp. My parents told us about the cabins, so I booked Rider's Roost. It was perfect. Everything was clean and cozy. Andrea is one of the nicest people you will ever meet and incredibly accommodating. You truly cannot beat staying at these cabins. They are reasonably priced, give you the chance to see and support horse rehabilitation, and are close to the Canyon. It is basically unbeatable. I cannot recommend these cabins enough!

Loved our stay here! Our lovely host Andrea provided farm fresh eggs, pancake mix, sausage, english muffins and everything you could think of to go with it for a fantastic breakfast! This was so perfect so we could get an early start to exploring the canyon! The cabin is 5 mins from the park entrance so great location! So many cool antiques in the cabin as well! Would definitely recommend!

We loved Rider's Roost ! It was such a lovely cozy house above the stables with everything you need to relax. The location is wonderfull too. Close to Palo Duro and very quiet and private. We loved Andrea and the horses. One of the horses even said goodbye when we left. We would definitely come back again ! Can't recommend this property high enough.

Absolutely phenomenal visit at the Hideout. The property and the accommodations are great. The host, Andrea, was extremely sweet and helpful. She gave us information on local activities and gave our daughter a tour of the property and animals. We stayed at the Rider’s Roost. The decor matched the atmosphere. Everything was clean and ready for our visit. Overall great! Core memories were definitely made.
