The Helmsley Medical Tower - Hotel

We stayed there only because my husband was having a procedure at the hospital at 6:30 in the morning and we live about 3 hours away. For $300 a night, you would think it would have more amenities. There was no soap in the bathroom (only shower gel in the shower) and no hand towels, no sample bottles of body cream ( I didn't bother bringing any of those items because even crappy motels provide those things.) And I really needed it because it was hot and DRY in there. We had made a reservation over the phone and gave him a credit card, but when we arrived they did not have our reservation on file. Very reasonable rates and just 2.5 blocks to Memorial Sloan Kettering's main hospital. The parking garage has very reasonable rates for NYC parking. Our room was clean and generously sized, with the best kitchenette I've ever seen in a hotel. The hotel was quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I would totally stay here again, though I really hope I don't have to.

This hotel was perfectly located for my daughter's 5:30 check in at HSS. Yes it is a bit dated but my room was clean, well appointed and I felt safe. My daughter's stay at HSS took 2 days longer than expected. The desk staff were super friendly and understanding. They went out of their way to adjust my reservation. Their kindness was much appreciated during a stressful time.

I have stayed here twice. The staff are very helpful, room size is great and you can’t beat the location for surgery the next day. My only issue is that with both of my stays, paying $300/night, the mattress was in great need of replacement. It sunk in and it felt like an old style coil mattress.

Location convenient for my 6am surgery at NSK. Cold, no heat in bathroom. Had to heat w space heater before taking a shower. Dirty, heat barely worked. Never again.not at 350.00 a night. Don't stay here. Disgusting
