The Heirloom Inn Mount Dora

We love the Mt. Dora area, however the Heirloom inn was a disappointment. The room was in disrepair. The bedroom light on the fan did not work. The air conditioner could not be adjusted or was not working. The furniture was worn with hole in it. You could hear every sound from next door and on the street as there seemed to be very little insulation. There was not a seal around the front door and the door was very insecure without a metal plate for the deadbolt. There is no management on premise. It's just not what you expect for the price.

Positive: This room was like a little apartment. It had all the comforts of home and had a lot of space. It is only a few blocks from the cute downtown area. Negative: There is free parking. But some patrons with big truck cannot fit properly and take up more than one space. There are a couple of public parking spaces out front on the street and would fit large vehicles. There isn't staff at the facility.

Amazing location. Haven't interacted with services. It is a set of six suites that are charming and cozy. The property is old and has quirks. I have no complaints. I do suggest the bathroom in suite 4 get either the window able to be opened or a vent installed. It gets muggy and steamy during showers.

We enjoyed our (1) night stay at the Heirloom Inn - guest room 2. Check-in was easy as the information was sent to us and no need to check-in at an office. The suite was very nice and smelled very clean. Had everything needed for our short stay; microwave, coffee pot with bottle water, small refrigerator. Bathroom has all the essentials needed. The location was awesome and just a short walk to downtown. We enjoyed the lovely local shops and restaurants close by. When you arrive the parking is close to the room around the back; which makes it nice as we walked and did not need to find parking. Definitely would stay here again! For "newbies" we enjoyed the town & finding our way around within walking distance. Be mindful, that most places close early during weekdays; Monday and Tuesday some
