The Flowers House

What a true blessing The Flowers House is. More importantly those that make it what it is. Thank you Pam and Andrew for hosting me and letting me stay at your humble abode ( especially at the last minute the night before and with your friend visiting! ). Thank you for the hospitality in every way shown! You're a gift to all whom share your presence! I hope to see you again next time and with more notice next time lol. Keep blessing and being blessed! The house is very conveniently located to walk downtown comfortably. Community very artsy. It’s a lovely house however we had so many issues getting checked in no Internet or tv service and trying to get a hold of somebody to support our issues was frustrating. It took a total of at least 4 hours for us to get into the bedrooms that were locked. This was actually our second time using this house however, I doubt we will ever return. Sad.

The Flowers House was in the perfect spot for walking into town and down to the marina area. The house has four beautifully appointed bedrooms with full bathrooms en suite and one smaller 2-bedded room with only a sink. For our group, we really needed five bedrooms of equal size and amenities and the fifth bedroom only worked because one spouse had to cancel so the room was okay but not equal to the others. It meant that one of us had to use the more public restroom downstairs and at night that wasn't very convenient. It would be a great space for kids near to their parents' room and bathroom. In spite of this inconvenience, our group of siblings (there for our brother's 85th) loved the Flowers House and we would return for sure should another anniversary bring us to Florida! Sebastian

Location needs to be 6 stars, but Google only has 5. Home away from home is overused, but fits here. It felt so comfortable just lounging around the house, or sitting at the kitchen table having coffee. There were times when people went exploring (on foot) and I just stayed behind letting my hectic life slowly drain away. That was really nice. Quiet, peaceful, birds singing. If that isn't enough, tough luck. How about you don't need your car? You can just walk 5 minutes and be in the center of town. Their website has enough pictures to give you an good feeling what it's like here. It's like home. (Your mileage may very, but not much)

Some places just end up taking your breath away and this is one of those places. I can honestly say I've never quite stayed into town like Mount Dora food is spectacular and people are lovely. Sebastian took great care of us and I would definitely want to come back and stay again. When fortune and my wallet allow me I'll be back for sure and I'll be staying right here ready to explore all the new things this amazing house and town have to offer.
