The Gold Eagle Cabins

We stayed at Gold Eagle Cabins from October 10th–13th, 2025, and unfortunately, our experience was far from enjoyable. The beds were hard as rocks, the cabins had an unpleasant odor, and the showers were so small that even an average-sized adult could barely move.||The single heater provided for two rooms didn’t work properly, leaving our cabin the same temperature as outside — around 30°F at night. We essentially slept in freezing conditions, and I’ve since come home sick because of it.||Our group of 15 was placed in six separate cabins scattered across the property, despite plenty of empty cabins being available that could’ve kept us closer together. The cabins also lacked even the most basic amenities: no salt or pepper, no sponge for dishes, no paper towels, no coffee, and no shampoo o

I definitely recommend this place! The cabin was very clean. The floors looked new. The owners and staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The pool was very refreshing and relaxing. Across the street from the lake/beach. So close to attractions. We highly suggest the Stone Bridge caves. Forget about the negative reviews. The rooms we had were only awkward because of the extra beds in living room but it worked for us to sleep, use kitchen and bathroom.

Well what can I say we have just come back after an amazing 17nights in lake george at the gold eagle and all I can say is, it's a pity we live in Ireland and can't return every summer! First of all our hosts Mary and paul were brilliant. Nothing was ever a problem for them and they went over and beyond for us, to even leaving us to the train station on our last day. Thank you paul! I just want to say the place is exactly what you see on their website, no hidden surprises. Yes the cabins are on a hill but it was no surprise by their website. Did their cabins have a smell when you first arrived? Yes they did but that is only because it's warm and the cabins are literally made on wood. The facilities are brilliant. This was our second time staying. This place is clean and comfortable and well maintained. The owner was prompt and helpful with booking. She was very welcoming when we arrived and remembered me from last year. We rented several cabins for our large family group and we will definitely be back. Is in a quieter area, not right on the strip but just a short distance from town. I have no complaints. As a matter of fact, I’m going back in September. This will be our go-to in lake George

Stayed a few days at the Gold Eagle. The owners were lovely people very friendly and helpful. Stayed in Cabin 6. It is a studio cabin with the 2 double bed, kitchen and table all in one and a bathroom. There were pots, pans and dishes to use, towels etc. Our cabin was in the middle of the compound which was very nice and the cars are parked next to you. The pool was cleaned every morning. Everything was well kept. We had so many plans when we got to lake George and we did not intend to spend much time at the cabin but it was so relaxing that we found ourselves canceling plans and hanging out on the porch. The place was peaceful even though there were guest on the pool or hanging outside doing their own thing. Mornings and evenings were my favorite time to take it all in. Will surely be goi
