It’s an older hotel that seems to have been renovated, but the issues remain. I was placed in two different rooms, and neither had working hot water. I would only consider staying here as a last resort

My husband and I visit NYC once a year and have stayed in a lot of different hotels (chain & boutique) as well as Airbnb in different areas. This was one of the worst. The website states there is a safe, iPhone clock with phone charger, free WiFi, coffee pot in each room plus 2 bottles of water per night. When we checked in we had to pay a $17.21 fee which we were told was a facilities fee for WiFi (even though it states on the website it’s free), the water bottles we never received and filtered water. We asked 3 different employees about our bottles of water and one had no idea that was a thing, the other one said she’d have to look into it and the last one said they hadn’t gotten their “shipment” in and stated there’s tap water in the lounge area. We didn’t even mention about the safe

This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Twice, staff left our room door open — a serious security risk, confirmed on their own cameras. The room was dirty, smelled of humidity, and wasn’t properly cleaned the next day. The toilet didn’t flush correctly, making it nearly unusable. When we tried to leave early, staff were unclear and never guaranteed a refund, leaving us stuck. On top of that, we were even told to carry our luggage to another hotel for storage — incredibly inconvenient. The room was also extremely noisy because of traffic, and the windows were so thin they offered no insulation. Customer service was the worst I’ve ever experienced. The manager, Dario, was dismissive, and completely unhelpful when we raised our concerns. Unsafe, unclean, noisy, and staffe
