The Forest Apartment

BE WARNED the room(s) are not as advertised in the listing. It’s more of a hostel with multiple rooms than an actual apartment. The rooms are very small and the ‘living space’ is a small kitchen. The add ons are ridiculous including a fan fee and charging for on site parking (see pictures). Wouldn’t recommend staying here.

Be warned, the cheap room comes at a price, the host is unresponsive and rude, every day I saw people outside for hours waiting to get a response to get inside. If you have a car she will charge you more then the room and threaten your car to be towed if you don’t immediately pay for a full stay of parking, no negotiation, no talking about the plan or how many times you will park, just threats if you don’t pay. And you’ll be charged insane amounts of fees for anything you do there. The host is so unpleasant, rude, and greedy. We booked our stay and only got a response at 9:50 pm, which she said because of the time we will have to pay a late check in fee, and only have 2 hours to check in or we would have to wait another night, and she only responds before 10pm. Never Stay there before, but when I saw the reviews I realize how bad this place was until after I booked. They nickel-and-dime you for everything. On top of that, it looks like they’re using multiple accounts on Airbnb and other platforms super sketchy, like they’re trying to wipe bad reviews. Please double-check the policies before you book. The whole thing honestly made me feel gross.

Stayed at the Samsara Room in late May through an Airbnb booking. This house, located at the end of a small gravel road, was converted into a guest house in 2024. There are several guest rooms and a couple of shared bathrooms on each floor, which has independent access and a shared kitchen. Each of these rooms is listed individually on Airbnb, appearing as a big cluster of rooms for rent around this hillside location in map view. While the rate was unbeatable for a private room in Seattle, the conversion project apparently had an extremely low budget because the walls and windows are not sound proof at all.
