It's like a 5-minute walk from Westlake Train Station in case no one told you! I had a great stay here! Here is why I’d recommend it: Friendly Staff: I arrived late in the evening, and the reception was very friendly and accommodating. They made check-in super easy. Great Breakfast: I was actually surprised at how good the free breakfast was. Even the coffee was tasty! Clean & Comfy: My bed was comfortable and clean. The washrooms and showers were also very clean and had plenty of space. Excellent Location: You are so close to the big Ferris wheel and the market. The Neighborhood: There are a few homeless people in the area, but if you don't bother them, they don't bother you. It’s a very convenient spot to stay.
Not the cheapest hostel but I believe for WA standards it’s cheap.|Great location: there is a target right beside and multiple bars and restaurants ;|Great 24h staff;|Free breakfast and you can cook your own eggs (provided by them);|Cleanliness: not the best. My bedsheets were stained and bathrooms were always full of hair; |Bath towels can be rented for $1;|The building itself is old, smelly and noisy ( squeaky squeaky);|They have free tours and every day of the week they have something different ( free beer, free ice cream)||Overall very cool hostel!
Positive: Very friendly and attentive staff, comfortable and clean dorms, pleasant dining room overlooking Pike's Place market. I'll be back soon! Negative: I wouldn't change a thing. Green Tortoise provides a phenomenal experience.
The hostel is a little dated with worn carpet. Be sure to bring your own towels, locks and toiletries because the front desk charged for these items. Also, guests enter the hostel via a steep set of stairs so if you have a heavy suitcase it may be challenging. Most hostels have a 30 or 40 mile rule for guests but this one may not because the guests seemed like long term visitors. Breakfast and complimentary coffee are included. The best part about the hostel is the location. Within walking distance of local eateries, the pier, ferries, museums and a 3story Target. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
Awesome place! All the staff here are so nice and helpful, they host fun socials every night and it's great that someone is available at the front desk all the time. The common area, kitchen, and rooms are cozy and super clean. Being right next to Pike's Place Market is great, and there's a light rail stop not too far away. The price is pretty incredible, especially with free breakfast being available every day. Honestly couldn't recommend more!
