The Dunkirk Motel

I would never recommend this place nobody not even my worst enemy. The place is a slum. Floors caving inside some of the rooms. Mold in the rooms and cockroaches. Plumbing is messed up in some of the rooms. For the people that live there they aint allowed to have people visit them. They go in peoples rooms when they aren't around. They dont provide towels or anything to people staying there.

Continental breakfast and housekeeping were one of a kind. I could talk to my neighbor through the plumbing and ventilation so I didn't feel lonely. Exceptional decor. 10/10 would stay again.

I'm usually a review reader...but it was 1am, we had been driving for about 16 hours and I was too exhausted to care!! Or so I thought. The room smelled stuffy and looked as if it had been quite a while since it had been used. The tub had cobwebs and I was ok with them because it gave me hope that whatever germs were left from previous clients were gone. Toilet was barely attached to the floor. Hot water took about 20 minutes to get warm. No outlet in the bathroom. I brought my own pillow and blanket so I stripped the bed of the top sheet and comforter, checked for bugs and stains, found none, so we settled in for the night. The only positive thing about this stay was the very friendly owner who offered us his personal space heater because it was in the 40's and since we are from Florida

This place is only for homeless people that are in need of shelter for two weeks paid for by Department of Social Services. It provides the bare minimum as a shelter. The rooms are outdated and filthy. The rooms come with TVs and microwaves but neither work-it is just for looks. The owner runs the place like it's his own personal harem trying to control any female guests staying there. He also has a strict book of rules such as NO VISITORS ever. Should guests need housing after the two week period that DSS will pay for, they will be charged $90 per week-more than a real efficiency apartment would cost in this area. I wouldn't suggest anyone stay here for any reason. A car would be better accommodations!

Tried calling to book a room and left a message. Never even heard back from them.
