The Dunes Hotel has a lot to offer for a great price. It is in a fantastic location, is clean, has nice common areas and amenities and the staff were friendly and professional. We enjoyed the pool, the ping pong table, and having morning coffee on their nice patio. We walked downtown for restaurants, shopping, and the museums. The location was amazing. Also, I felt there was plenty of parking - it was not an issue for us. We stayed for 3 nights. I have two criticisms: (1) the air conditioning unit in my room (228) was obnoxiously loud. I had ear plugs, which solved the sleeping issue. I should have said something to the front desk, which is why I included my room number above. I don't think there was anything wrong with it, I just think it was an old unit. (2) the products used to deoder

We were rebooked here after being kicked out of their sister property, Dive, sure to an error in their booking page. They rebooked us here andgave us 20% off. We waited several minutes while the guy at the front desk answered the phone and proceeded to assist the caller instead of us. This property is not a hotel, it is a motel with exterior doors that open to the outside. The room was clean, but when we went to bed there was a light from the A/C that kept flashing, which kept waking us up. There is no bath mat in the bathroom. There are signs telling guests to use their room towels at the pool, which is unsanitary. They offer complimentary coffee in the lobby, but it was empty by 9:00 a.m. It served it's purpose. The decor is cute and it give us a place to sleep, but this was not the e

I stayed at The Dunes and, overall, my experience was average 😐 This is clearly an older property that has been renovated, and it shows. It has some nice touches, but also several important downsides to be aware of. What I liked least: Very limited parking 🚗 If you do not arrive early, there is a real chance you may not find a space. The product they use to deodorize the rooms has a very strong smell 🤧 The room is narrow and feels tight. They do not use key cards. Instead, they give you a code to open the door 🔢 If you leave and do not remember it, you cannot get back in and have to go to the front desk to get it again. Something similar happens with access from the parking area: the doors are exit-only, not for re-entry 🚪 If you go to your car to bring luggage, you pretty much need

I am going to be progressive about my review her just to be fair and not judge the book by its title. It is my first night staying here and checking was a bit disappointing. I booked this room 2 months ago for 3 nighs, and while checking in, i found out that my room is the very last room at the end of the second of the 2nd building.. i was little disappointed so i asked for a closer room, he said we are fully booked. I mentioned my booking was done way in advance and that it is weird that i am getting such a far room from the lobby and the hotel enterance, then he said that my room is the best room because it has " the mountain view". Serious crap. Better be quite than lying to the customer's face! I have to say the room is stunningly clean and neat! I have been to 5 star hotels and the c

Positive: Location Negative: The room key situation. They give you a card with the room number written in it along with a 7 digit pin that you have to enter whenever you go into your room. It’s a terrible system because it’s really annoying to do every time and dangerous if you lose
