The Dorset Hotel

Great Location & helpful staffs ! |Breakfast choices are minimal & coffee or tea are not even included with paid breakfast ( extra $5-$6 for a cup of coffee with no refill ) a rip off ! A $ 30 per day resort fee does not include a beach umbrella/chair ! If lucky , the reception will provide a towel for the beach ! This hotel used to be one of the best accommodation, yet NOT anymore ! With a Barking dog left alone in the room next to us until 2am & the refusal of the night receptionist to do anything about it was obviously a disaster . Until the new management improve & upgrade the rooms & services , I would not recommend Dorcet Hotel !

Great location but very few amenities compared to your typical hotel. Was also disappointed with the cleanliness 🪳

Staying at this hotel for the 4th time. I first stayed back in 2010 and the experience was a little different. I consider myself bit of a south beach pro in terms of the amount of hotels I have experienced from 2 star to 5, and visited and seen many of the rooms in various hotels along Miami beach. ||||I first stayed in the catalina which is the main hotel for checking in etc but no longer the happy hour bar which i enjoyed a lot from 7-8, great for meeting people etc. I used to really like the bar staff but 3 years later they seemed to have changed for the worse, really unfriendly, arrogant and rude not sure what their problem is, mostly latin except for the boring Russian in the Dorset ? Why don't they have Friendly American staff, is it because the pay is low, this has happend in London

We checked in around 7:30 pm at the Catalina Hotel- the place was pumping with energy. Music- people and great vibe. Jean was very efficient in getting us into our room at The Dorset- right next door. Our room was perfect !!! Great decor, spacious and very comfortable bed. A very nice welcome letter from Laura the GM of The Catalina and Dorset. Bathrooms were cleaned and organized - our room was done with care and passion. The restaurant FKU a was always lively and the food delicious . Our friends staying a cross the street like the Dorset better than the south seas and the Marseille. We loved our stay and we will come back next time in Miami - They have an awesome ECar that takes you to other sister hotels!!! Thumbs Up guys!!! We will be back. We ate sticky wings and rock shrimp at the FKU restaurant locate inside the Dorset hotel and stay at the sister property the Catalina. Our server ANA was amazing she recommended great selections. The food was delicious and hot. She and several other employees checked in on us to make sure we were satisfied with the food and atmosphere. I will be eating here again and recommend everyone to try the awesome food and service. Money well spent!
