The DEXTRO Little Italy, BW Premier Collection

I am a guest at the Dextro right now, and it is perfectly… mediocre. Perhaps my expectations of this “3.5* mystery hotel” from priceline were too high, but I have enjoyed motels with better combinations of service and amenities. The young man at the check in told me absolutely nothing about the hotel’s amenities when I checked in, and was unable to answer my question about public transit. Today, when I asked about “any amenities like a pool”, he mention there is a pool “out there”. I am still not sure where that may be, as there are no visible signs. I have seen people eating in the small bar area, but again, no information is to be found about hours, menu, or prices anywhere on the premises. From the moment we checked in, everything about our stay felt easy and welcoming. The staff was friendly, professional, and eager to help. They guided us through the parking garage and clearly explained how to get to our room, which made settling in a breeze.||The room itself was gorgeous — beautifully decorated with a modern, coastal vibe and incredible views of downtown San Diego and the bay. I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The room was tidy, clean, and nicely decorated, making me feel comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was smooth. The location is convenient, and overall value for money is excellent. The public area is pretty nice, and I really enjoy working with my pc there.No breakfast included.

I was actually surprised at how clean and updated this hotel was. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was only two blocks from the lovely Italian Farmers Market which was really neat! The beds were very comfortable. The showers are fairly narrow, not a big deal except I did hit my elbow a few times. 😬 This was the best priced hotel in the area over a weekend in January. I would definitely stay again. Thank you.

I’m surprised by the low reviews. I stayed here and it was pleasant albeit accommodating, which isn’t surprising since it’s a best western affiliate hotel. Check-in was easy. They even allowed my group to check-in extremely early (about 5-6 hours) free of charge. That alone set a great vibe for the trip. The linens were extremely comfortable and the room had plenty of hangers/space for 3 women. The rooms are a weird shape but it works. Our main complaints were - no fan in bathroom - phone in room wasn’t connected (no chord, funny but annoying) - no microwaves (being so close to little Italy? Very unusual) - maid service didn’t service our room one day (the front desk was very accommodating since maids left for the day.) It was annoying but didn’t ruin the trip. We didn’t try to breakfast
