Customer Reviews
Worst customer service. Check in was supposed to be at 4, but wasn’t ready. I tried asking for a discount or late check out for the inconvenience, but all they offered was a bottle of wine. Had to drive back to reception which is at a different location to get keys for a different lodge location. Tried to cancel through both Expedia and their customer service, but neither would refund us. Just got into the room at 6P. Called our credit card company and they said we could dispute the charges, which we will be doing.
Room was a bit small, but nice, and clean. Check in at the condo office was inconvenient, as it is on the other end of the resort. There is no one at the Dakota building for assistance. The location in relation to the mountain is great. The price was decent considering the location.
GREAT LOCATION and AMENITIES! First trip to Keystone after reading reviews for family friendly environment, and great reviews on The Dakota in River Run. We stayed for a week over Christmas and everything was spot on as advertised. Close to everything you could ever need - grocery store next door, ski shop across the street, as was Kidtopia and the ice rink, and quick walk to every type of restaurant, and of course the gondola. The CONDO itself was just as advertised, with fully supplied kitchen and bathroom, super warm fireplace, cozy balcony and soft bed. The property has a hot tub, heated pool and a sauna! Only issue, as has been mentioned in other reviews, was the pullout sofa bed, which was difficult to sleep on due to the very uncomfortable springs jamming into our backs and the loud
This place offers an excellent foamy experience. Hot tubs are great and green after a day of skiing. Can get crowded but our plan of attack was to wait in the heated pool for someone to leave the tubs. If you are not a guest at the actual hotel but staying in the neighborhood associated with the hotel, you will not have access to the hotel bathrooms or locker room to change and will have to promptly follow someone else in. Are you a fan of being soaking wet covered in foam in freezing temperatures only to have a defeated waddle back to your car? This is the place for you.
The place is super kid friendly...almost too friendly. Large families flock to keystone since kids 12 and under ski free as long as rooms are booked with the resort. The problem is that the parents dont control their kids. They are running around the pool and hot tub areas, eating pizza in the hot tub, and diving in the hot tub. The room was fine and did its job. Nice fireplace to keep warm and dry wet clothes. Really is about a 5 min walk to the lift. Lifts and gondolas can be slow with the over abundance of kids
