Loveland Ski Area

Super fun ski place that is well "run" and pretty easy on the wallet. We did just the Loveland valley and the prices were fair and there was enough to do with the amount of runs available. Easy drive from Colorado Springs and good beginner hills for newbies. Parking lot was a little small and could be tricky on a busy day.

This was our first time ever skiing and I have to say, Loveland did not disappoint! We had such a great time here! The staff was great! The rental process was easy! And the slopes were amazing! We will definitely be back! Skiing at Loveland is possibly a new family christmas tradition now! 😍🥰

We had a wonderful time at the Loveland Ski Area! As beginners, we found the staff extremely kind and helpful, great slopes no matter your experience with very clean and accommodating facilities. We will absolutely visit again!

Loveland Ski Area was absolutely perfect for our family. You don’t have to be a millionaire to ski or snowboard here—unlike some of the other resorts in the region. We picked Loveland because it fit our budget for multi-day skiing for our family of six, and the lift tickets were literally half the price of neighboring resorts. Because of that savings, we were able to put everyone in full-day lessons on day one. Then on day two, we skied on our own while our 5- and 7-year-olds enjoyed a second private lesson that basically doubled as daycare (winning!). With prices this low, you’d think the experience might feel “less than,” but Loveland far exceeded our expectations. After a rough winter we went out yesterday after the biggest storm in 2026 so far and got a wonderful day. Basically no lift lines on a Saturday with all lots full. Got 5 runs in with fresh turns, Loveland is the best skiing experience left in the the Summit/Eagle area. Free parking in main lot, no reservation games and a reasonable season pass. I don’t want to give the secret away as a 10 year local up here but we stopped skiing Alterra and Vail mtns a while ago. We Don’t even mess with the A Basin pass anymore sadly, their parking on weekends got ridiculous. With 3 days skiing included at Cooper, Monarch, Powderhorn, Sunlight and Purgatroy, not to mention all the out of state partnerships with the Powder Alliance, this is the best Colorado based, out west Independent mtn pass out there.
