The Court - A St Giles Hotel

Very unprofessional, the workers engage with the residents intimately. they talk to the residents about other residents. All of the workers gossip like they live in the building. Poor services, the building is filled with roaches and rats this place is low quality in a high quality neighborhood. Adults smoke weed in the front with all of the kids during morning hours they hang outside in the front just very unprofessional and I don’t recommend this shelter.

Terrible, workers are intimate with the residents There are rats everywhere in the building workers are rude and talk about you to other residents an employees. It’s very uncomfortable.

We got a great deal on this hotel which is the only reason we stayed. The room was spacious but desperately in need of a thorough cleaning. My husband and I were both pretty grossed out by the old, stained carpeting and general wear and tear of the furnishings. This hotel could be spectacular if it got an overall refresh with new carpeting and a good cleaning. We will not be staying here again, despite the good deals.

We made a last minute decision to stay the night in NYC this past weekend. We found The Court on hotels tonight at a very reasonable price. Check in was super quick and easy. The hotel lobby was nice, pretty updated. They had a pool table and a nice restaurant/bar area. We didn't go to either so I can't say it was good or bad but the atmosphere was inviting. We got up to the room, it was pretty outdated. Carpet was old, the furniture and backboard to the bed were velvet, kinda tacky! The bathroom was spacious but shower and sink were pretty tiny. Worst part of my stay was the hair I found on the bathroom floor...I hate hair, especially if it's not mine. I didn't bother calling the front desk since we were just there to change quick then head back out. Overall it was a decent stay!

We stayed at this hotel for three nights. During the check in the staff set the mood as friendly and helpful and that sentiment held true during our stay. I had called ahead and requested our room be near our friends who were also staying there. I also requested a room with a view and the staff was very happy to grant our request. The room was nice and the bed comfortable along with the pillows. The room was clean and had a home style feel. Every time I interacted with the staff they were so polite and helpful. It was a short walk to grand central and I would stay here again.
