The Columbia Hotel

We stayed at The Columbia Hotel in 2024 during our PCT thru-hike. The accomodations were perfect and the staff was really excited to support us. We were celebrated with a free drink from their mini kegerator at check-in. They had robes for us to hang out in and we felt so luxurious! Thank you for such amazing hospitality!

Our school group had a last minute cancellation, and Jay was amazingly able to accommodate 33 middle school kids and four chaperones. We could not have been happier or felt luckier to be taken care of by the Columbia. The rooms were perfect with their bunk beds and murals, the common areas were fantastic for holding reflection times or just chilling with games. Everyone loved it, and Jay and her crew were the kindest souls going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and looked after. So much gratitude to have found this wonderful downtown gem in Ashland, steps from OSF, and with so much positivity and community spirit.

In the heart of ashland! It was a few steps from shopping and cafes. I had a nice quiet restful stay in a very clean room. The bed was very comfortable. Loved the mural on the wall. Staff was friendly. I love all the artwork and music themed lobby. Very creative. Thanks for the good memories.

The.atmosphere is a throwback to a wilder, weirder time before hotels were sterile, corporate & oh,so bland. Staff is caring, accomodating & fun. The decor & art are super cool. What wasn't great? For a while on Saturday eve, the water wasn't hot & the free coffee, while free, makes it worthwhile to get out to a great, local coffee shop, like Bloomsbury just south. Get a good cup with the money you just saved by staying at the Columbia Hotel.

A great hotel! They have maintained the old charm and have updated the decor with a hip music theme. Great atmosphere and wonderful service. The attention to detail in the room is excellent. Loved the decor, and bonus to have record albums and a record player in the room. Towels, bedding, etc were all first class
