The Claremont Hotel, South Beach

Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this hotel. We specifically chose a hotel instead of an Airbnb because we expected basic service — apparently that was too much to ask. The front desk was incredibly unprofessional and barely available. When we arrived, we were denied early check-in and instead of offering to properly store our luggage, staff simply pointed at a filthy storage room and told us to leave our bags there ourselves. When we finally got into our room, it was disgusting. We requested towels multiple times and were completely ignored. There is also no housekeeping service during the day, which is honestly ridiculous for a hotel. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and clearly did not care about guests at all. Nothing we asked for was addressed. The entire place felt poorly

Exceeded expectations. Good value, Excellent staff. Good location. Quiet room. Enjoyed very much the roof pool area. After arrival requested a coffee machine it arrived, with coffee pods, within 30 minutes. We will definitely return next year. Our choice of hotel in Miami Beach.

Room was nice. Location that is easy to get to. You can walk to the beach, to the convention center. Plenty of dining nearby. It's above a hookah bar and they are open pretty late, plus you are in a busy area, so you do get some noise pretty late at night. There is a mini fridge and microwave plus some plates and such. There was a couple sets of disposable plastic flatware in packs, but not real silverware. No coffee maker. Also the mini split air conditioner wasn't working so it was a bit warm for us. There were just two towels (pretty scratchy) and one washcloth. The room was nice though. Pretty, plenty of space inside, large shower, bed was comfortable. Also, only one key so if you are traveling with someone, you have to coordinate if you are going different places.

I will definitely be staying here again when I come back to Miami! It is less than a 5 min walk to the beach, the restaurant connected to the hotel is very yummy and is also a hookah bar, and there are a ton of things to do around it. Everyone at the hotel and restaurant were extremely nice and answered any questions I had. They have a rooftop pool (small, 4ft deep) and it was so beautiful to watch the sunset up there. I saw some reviews saying it was super confusing to find the rooms because the entrance to the hotel is the restaurant, but If you have any type of common sense, it is not hard at all and they tell you where to go, you can see the stairs/elevator when you walk in. would not stay here again due to the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms. There was no air ventilation in the rooms and the windows didn’t open so it was always stuffy and humid in the room. The air conditioning blasts right over the beds at night and the cover on the bed is just a sheet, not an actual comforter. The towels had stains on them and were either small hand towels or beach towels, instead of bathroom towels. The shower head was disgusting, full of pink mold and corrosion like it hadn’t been cleaned in years. The hotel service was responsive via text, however it was difficult to actually get the service you ask for (i.e. - more towels, more blankets, etc). Overall not a pleasant experience and would not recommend this hotel.
