The Christie Lodge - All Suite Property, Vail Valley/Beaver Creek

If you're looking for the best value, fully featured hotel in Avon Colorado then this is the one. Unlike other hotels, you won't feel like you're getting robbed for a week long stay and it has many features! They have indoor and outdoor hot tubs, a heated outdoor pool, arcade and game room, laundry, grills and lit fireplaces, ski shop, pho place, subway, spa, breakfast shop, ALL located in the hotel. The shuttle system to take you to Vail, Beaver Creek, and many other locations is RIGHT outside the lobby which is extremely convenient. It's extremely walkable as you're next to many restaurants, a grocery store, and Walgreens. What they provide is a hotel with lots of amenities for a low price. So, you will not get a Ritz carlton experience nothing close if you need that go someplace else bu

Positive: 1 bedroom condo with a kitchen was great for a week of skiing Negative: The place has an elevator, but the design requires that you take steps up to most rooms. If you have luggage, beware that you have to carry it up the stairs.

Awesome place to relax after skiing. Aside from enjoying time in the comfortable rooms, one can sit in a hot tub (indoor or outdoor), swim in the pool, go to the gym, play pool or foosball, or simply relax in the spacious and comfortable hallway. We also enjoyed going to the Pho 20 restaurant almost every night for a tasty and inexpensive meal. If you enjoy architecture or not, the design of the building will be sure to amaze you.

Location is a great perk. There are several restaurants within minutes walking. The room has had some upgrades for example bath area has modern look yet wood floors and cabinets still have a cabin look. We stayed in one bedroom Queen bed suite that also had a Murphy style pull down full size bed. The mattress in bedroom is on the firmer side so the murphy mattress was more comfortable but smaller. The kitchen has all the standard items except no ice trays. They do have ice bucket and ice machine is on 2nd floor east side past reception area. It’s a little walk but doable. We didn’t have any major issues in unit. The stove top light says hot at all times even though not turned on at all. The shower just as a hint turn far left and let it run 3-4 minutes and you will get steaming hot water.

First thing you'll notice is staff are not very helpful or friendly. No offers of assistance for luggage just, "there's a dolly in the corner". The rooms are old, not very clean. Location is okay, but the parking itself is a maze and the staff are also not very helpful with that as well. Maybe this used to be a nice hotel with friendly staff but not anymore. Would definitely not stay here if you have infant, toddlers. You can hear all footsteps from the floors above, everything creaks. For minmum of $300+/noght you expect to some degree of hospitality and comfort. We will not be coming back and continue to not reccomend this hotel.
