The Cardinal Inn

Stayed for 3 nights. Property very well maintained, rooms spotless, bed comfortable. Staff (front desk & housekeeping) very friendly & helpful. Shout out to the housekeeper, she goes above & beyond!!||Rooms are dark (lots of natural light if you open the curtains) & AC unit was loud but very effective. Didn't love the comforte, used clean blanket in closet instead ||Unsure what other reviewer was expecting for room decor, is exactly as shown in pics/reviews. Again, room was spotless, laminate floors, so no carpeting (much appreciated!) but dated furniture. I was pleased & would stay again!

Great little place to stay , stayed multiple times (was just there last weekend 10/3/25) and always clean rooms that are well stocked , decent beds and the owner / staff are always friendly and accommodating. The prices are reasonable, the surrounding area/town is quiet friendly and convenient. 10/10 on all aspects of this little gem.

The Cardinal Inn in Luray offers an excellent stay with top-notch hospitality and genuinely great staff behavior. Its location near the Luray Caverns is ideal, and the affordable pricing provides fantastic value for a memorable visit. Highly recommended.

In my brief experience at the Inn I noticed a bullet hole in the bathroom window taped over. When at 9am of our departure morning two family members arrived with muffins, the owners came storming to the room. The owners immediately demanded more money because more than 2 people were at the room. We left after being harassed and verbally abused by the owner.
