The Buzzards Nest

Great guy owns, and runs it. You can tell it’s more mom and pop, and less corporate chain. Everything is about the best you could imagine, the beds, pillows, sheets, towels, TV, shower. The mini fridge actually has a good sized freezer too. Don’t know why anyone would stay anywhere else in Lamar. If you’re a country music fan see if you can get room 102.

We stayed in the Hotel California themed room & found it comfortable, clean, and cleverly decorated to reflect The Eagles ( Hotel California) persona. Right in the center of town, it was within walking distance to pretty much anywhere downtown we wanted to go. We didn’t need to go anywhere else though because just around the corner was The Buzzards’s Roost nightclub where we had great food and drinks & were entertained by local favorite band “JUDI”. We’d definitely stay there again. Owners Jay & Karen Gruber went out of their way to make sure our stay was memorable.

Themed rock n roll rooms! We got The Eagles, my favorite band. Room was so clean and accommodating to our needs. Jay and Karen are awesome and made us feel at home. King size bed with king sized TV. Great stay and will definitely book again. Big bonus, head to their bar for the BEST pizza and cold beers.

The owner Jay is fantastic, very accommodating to myself and team. We stay here at the buzzards nest for business trips. All 3 rooms have been great! Smart tv’s, nice beds. Rooms smell new. Safe parking lot with cameras! Communication has been great as well. Very up to date & all around great business.

Stayed at the Buzzard Nest for 2 months for work. Jay and Karen were great and treat their guests like family. The Buzzard Roost is right next door for quick meals if you don't want to get out after work. Can't beat the prices. 10 out of 10, would stay here again!
