Holiday Inn Express & Suites Lamar by IHG

Was charged $200 on a Monday. Early notice I understand but to put it in respective who was charged $200 a day at the New Yorker in New York City Manhattan.... All I do is travel you're supposed to pay $200 for amenities there are ZERO here. This is a Blue collar heavy area with apparent disaster work nearby according to the four different people I talked to. I drive through here twice a month will absolutely avoid. No taxi cabs no Ubers know nothing so. The room is clean which was very nice.

I can't say enough about the guy at the front desk that helped me tonight. Should have got his name for this review but I just drove 16 hours straight..He was suoer nice and helpful in every way imaginable. Today is 1/11/26... To the owners or managers he deserves a raise. You could his kindness is just him. Very well appreciated. 👏

It was very happy with all my service that I received at the hotel from the moment I walked through the door, the gentleman behind the desk. I forget his name. He was absolutely wonderful and accommodating to all the way into the morning. They were very very pleasant housekeeping was very pleasant. I’ve had people knock on the door to tell us like just to see if we’ve left or not in hotels. They were very polite. It was amazing. The breakfast was wonderful and I woke up late so and I still accommodated that and I was able to get breakfast for my father and I You guys are doing a wonderful job. Thank you so much for agreat stay.

Well what can I say about this hotel, for 1 I drive an OVERSIZE rig and asked prior if there was plenty of parking and the hispanic girl said yes. So i parked next door & 30min later I get a call that the Mgt @ Quality Inn didn't get there 25 bucks to overnight park. No problem, now this is why I give this place 1 star, because I had to park behind the McDonald's which it winter & if it rains. You walk 2 blocks away just to get back here. So, just get a room at the QUALITY INN with PLENTY OF SEMI PARKING, because this hotel doesn't!!👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 Not trucker friendly for PARKING...

Pleasant and helpful check in, good location with food nearby but not all open on Sunday or Monday. Nice clean room with adequate towels and 120v outlets. There was a good reading light by the chair. Larger room than many places. Pool is larger than most. Refrigerator was small but larger than some, no freezer. Great shower. The shampoo had a light pleasant smell, glad it wasn't coconut. The only complaint is that the luggage carts are those triangle shaped that are almost useless. Please bring back the 4 wheeled old fashion ones.
