Blue Spruce Motel

Its a shotgun style motel. It was a good value but they are doing repairs, rework. The floors are very creeky and spongy. Maybe a wooden subfloor laid over a poor foundation. But forget about moving around without waking everyone. Very loud. Other than that it served the purpose of an overnight stop. Area seemed safe and not a lot of traffic when we were there. The price point improved my ranking since there are limits to what you can expect. It was clean and smelled ok. No eeks in our room. But no perks.

We reserved a 2 queen bed room. My husband was given a 1 bed room. The employee claimed "they just see a room was reserved, not size." Husband did not realize we were reserved for 2 beds until he reviewed the reservation after unpacking and putting our son to bed. My son kicked all night, and my husband has to drive 12 hours today. The checkout person said "it was travelocity's problem." We contacted them to complain, they were nice but unable to do anything. The manager claimed my husband was okay with the room to cover for themselves with Travelocity, refused refund even partial. She never saw him or spoke to him. After finding out we PAID for 2 bed and were given 1, he was rightfully NOT okay with the arrangement. Floor boards seemed rotten in places, pillows were terrible. They do not

I was so tired and all my regular hotels were full. I called Blue Spruce to see if they had any rooms on the bottom floor and the said yes. As you can see the room felt more like a place I could live in and not just a typical hotel room, it was clean. The couch was soft and the mattress felt like it was new. There were a few dishes bowls and cups and some utensils. The staff was very friendly and nice and the price was very reasonable. I would definitely stay here again.

If you want to back your luggage into your room this is the place!! I love getting my suitcase and walking the 9 ft through the door to the bed. It is an older hotel, shows some signs of wear, but is very clean with extremely cool furniture. I was complaining to my brother on this trip that there was only one chair in every room we stayed in, this one had four, and one of them was a recliner!! I absolutely love this place and would be happy to stay here again!! Great value!! I will take backing my car up to my room over breakfast any day!!

Best rate and even when all other motels full or over charging for an event that was occurring. Older and dated, even physical key for room. Beds comfy room clean, quiet, heat/air worked, and was good experience. Will stay again if here. As stated, just a motel, place to sleep, inexpensive and worth it.
