The Bicentennial Inn

I stayed at the Bicentennial Inn in Buckhannon, West Virginia for three nights and had a very comfortable experience. This is not a Hilton resort, but it was just as good as any solid chain hotel. The room was clean, well maintained, and exactly what you want after a long day. Everything worked, the space was comfortable, and I slept well each night. One thing to be aware of is that the doors are not highly sound resistant. Loud conversations in the hallway can wake you up if people are not being considerate. That said, I still got a good night’s sleep, and my Garmin watch agrees. One of the best parts of staying here is the location. The inn is within easy walking distance of downtown restaurants and West Virginia Wesleyan University, which is a real plus in a small town like Buckhannon.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel has been undergoing renovations and while it is not a 5 star hotel it is a clean and friendly place. They have outdoor games available and outside seating areas. The breakfast is coffee, oj and prepackaged muffins. They are just a couple of blocks away from downtown. They are also conveniently located between Weston and Elkins.|The staff is friendly and there is a refrigerator and microwave in the room.

The staff was absolutely amazing. Rooms were great and the prices were very reasonable. The restaurant is no longer open but the 88 lounge is and the selection of drinks, the service and atmosphere was wonderful. Everyone at the Inn and lounge were so friendly. We spent a week here and we have absolutely nothing to complain about. It was like being at home with friends. We look forward to returning again.

The value is very good. The rooms were clean, and it was exceptionally quiet. The only nick is it took several minutes for the water to get hot. Again, small town hotel with a cool feel, so we would still recommend it.

This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced and I will never recommend this hotel nor will my family support them again. Edited to add a reply: The third party contacted you on my behalf, that is your policy, not theirs and I have been booking hotels with that third party for many years and not once have they been unsuccessful in helping me with a request of any kind until experiencing booking with your hotel.
