The Bentley Hotel on 290

Very nice room overlooking the pool area and the castle. Did the private wine tasting in His Majesty's room and enjoyed some chips. Service was excellent by Lucy, our hostess. Jason was very accommodating and called me that morning to make sure the room was ready when we arrived early to settle in before our wine tasting.

My husband and I decided to take a last minute trip to Johnson City (Texas Hill country). He booked the room, which is something he normally does not do. I’m the planner. He picked a gem! Perfect place to hang out after a day of wine tastings. The pool is nice and the outside wine bar. Our room was the ‘Marilyn Monroe’ room. Very cool! |We also stopped by their Castle for wine tastings. We ended up joining their wine club. We were very impressed. |The owners are there to make sure your stay is amazing. We will be back!

Amazing atmosphere and was very welcoming the minute we arrived. We were able to check in early which was terrific. The manager found out we were doing a wine tasting and gave us a few chocolates on him. The female manager went and got ice for us and even turned on the hot tub jets Thursday night for my fiance. Room was very clean and bed comfortable. Shower was terrific except there was no body wash in room. We stayed in the Frank Sinatra Room and it was spectacular. Only downside was the record player didn’t work, but may have just been for looks. Internet did go out around 11pm which caused tv to not to work but could have been due to storm that came through. Had a great stay at The Bentley Hotel on 290. It’s in the same property as the 290 Wine Castle and very convenient for a visit. Rooms are clean and modern.

Please read the reviews! I wish I had done that before we booked. Especially the responses from the husband owner who takes charge of the hotel. I’ll start at the beginning. I’ve been going to the 290 castle winery for years, and was even a member at one point, and loved it! I remember when the hotel wasn’t even there, and couldn’t wait for it to open. Valentines weekend was approaching, so what a perfect time to book a really cool looking room and enjoy the jacuzzi. We normally get a room in Fredericksburg with a heated pool and jacuzzi but they were booked.
