Johnson City Inn

Stacey, the Front Desk manager was super. She was professional, attentive, kind, and efficient at checkin. Justin was so kind when I locked myself out of my room and needed an access card made at 3am Property was clean and inviting. Lovely park adjacent to motel rooms. Breakfast served was delicious. Outstanding stay !!!

19 years ago this was a clean hotel and good find; this is no longer the case. We did our best to make due for 1 night and were finally able to move rooms on request about 11pm, after 3 prior complaints did not warrant such an offer. The sewer smell permeated everything with varying improvements by running water and air fresheners. We also note loose dirt on the sheets of a made bed, a sheet covered chair with what looked like blood stains, an ottoman with a large burn hole, and visible dirt and mold that left us wondering who normally rents these rooms. i am left wondering if these rooms resulted from our early check-in request.

Positive: Hotel front desk staff was wonderful and most helpful. The room was clean and tidy, although the floor needed a good mopping. The free breakfast was fabulous with lots to choose from! Negative: N/A

I’m going to start with the negatives, but there were some positives which I’ll list as well. Negatives: After a fiasco with hotels.com, I ended up calling and booking our reservation directly with the manager of the hotel. However, when we arrived at 9:30 pm with 3 sleeping children, the fella at the counter could not find our reservation. After about 20 minutes he was able to get Stacy, the manager (who is LOVELY) on the phone to fix it. We finally got to our room, and our keys didn’t work. My husband ran back to the office twice to try to get help before the employee finally came to help. He switched us to another room, and another 20 minutes later, we were in. Was here on a work trip, we had a drive from Lubbock to Johnson city and arrived at 4 in the morning, the gentlemen at the front desk had already checked us in and had our keys at the ready. Absolutely awesome, the rooms were comfortable and clean. The food for breakfast was epic, eggs, waffles, refried beans, tortillas and hashbrowns. Great homey feel, loved this place.
