The Benjamin Hotel

We stayed here this past weekend (early March 2026) for my wife’s birthday weekend. The price for a weekend off-season was extremely reasonable and a great value. The hotel itself was gorgeous and the rooms were massive, clean, very well taken care of, and decorated perfectly. The bathroom alone was the size of your standard chain hotel room itself! We absolutely love this hotel and will book it every time we come up for a weekend off-season. Its walkable to everything in Watkins Glen. The JR Dill Wine Bar downstairs was a great place to unwind after a day driving the lake. They had friendly knowledgeable staff with amazing cocktails and a great craft beer selection. My guess is this is the nicest place to stay in Watkins Glen. Keep in mind its the only place we have stayed but we looked at everything before we booked. We first booked the large hotel in the harbor, but when we found this we switched. Feels brand new (oct 2025), completely renovated, exposed brick walls, Class A furnishing and fixtures, and lots of attention to detail. Location is right on Main St. Honestly we just kept saying commenting to ourselves how nice this place was.

This was a massive surprise. Watkins Glen is a very small lake town in central NY and there are not a lot of very nice places to stay. Many "decent" but this is next level. Right in the heart of the village, completely new rooms. High attention to detail, absolutely amazing. I would definitely stay here again. We first booked the big hotel in the harbor but when we found this we switched. Glad we did!

What a Fantastic space!!! Absolutely loved it. Very comfortable and relaxing. Had everything we needed and customer service was awesome. Espresso machine was a fabulous surprise. Complementary wine tasting and a bottle of wine made you feel appreciated. Highly recommend for a couples getaway. Location was perfect!!

This was a wonderful hotel. It is located centrally in the Village of Watkins Glen. We could walk to Seneca Lake, many restaurants and the main entrance of Watkins Glen State Park. There are 4 rooms that are located above other businesses as the hotel. Our room was immaculate, very modern with beautiful furnishings. There was a full size refrigerator which was great for restaurant left overs and bottles of water-four supplied by the hotel. There was a snack bar and coffee bar, which made for a wonderful treat first thing in the morning, before going out for breakfast. The bathroom was beautiful and plenty of towels provided. The king-I think California king bed was sooooo comfortable as were the king pillows provided. There was an outside porch attached to the unit which was furnis
