Seneca Lodge

I have stayed here on 4 different occasions with no issues. This weekend , Oct 19, was my 50th birthday and looked forward to staying here. When I reserved , we reserved a cabin with a KING size bed , due to back and hip problems. We called on our way in to see if we could do early check in only to be told that they showed no reservation for us. I'm like I'm holding my confirmation card in my hand. Well how do you spell your name, are you sure that's how you spell it ? I'm like what , yes I'm sure that's how I spell my name. I got pissed and hung up. A few minutes later she calls back, yeah I found your card in another area you're good to go. Fine, get there check in , get to the cabin only to find two TWIN beds. Call back and say there's yet another problem , that there's twin beds and

We heard about this place through a racing podcast we listen to and once we researched it more about the history it has in the racing world, we knew we had to go! We did NOT eat at the restaurant or stay at the Lodge but only went for a few beers at the Tavern which is where the magic is! Our bartender was the sweetest and gave us a "tour" of the walls behind the bar and shared with us the history of the property. She also put on a movie for us (and other patrons) highlighting some footage from the 70s and the drivers/teams that would frequent the Tavern! If you are a racing fan, especially F1, you gotta stop in and take in this gem!

Seneca lodge is my go to place to stay at the lake. There's many options available from motel rooms to cabins and even some larger family rentals. It's really convenient having the restaurant and bar right at the lodge too. The staff is always wonderful and the prices are fair.

Only had breakfast. A bit expensive. Don't bother with the soy toast. Fresh fruit was good. Under our table was full of crumbs. Waitress said " I guess they didn't sweep up very well last night"!

We had an impromptu stay in Watkins Glen on our way home to NC. We absolutely loved the hospitality of the staff at Seneca Lodge. The room was quaint and clean. The food at the Lodge restaurant was amazing, both for supper and breakfast. Can't recommend the cinnamon raisin French toast enough! Our server, Joyce, was attentive and friendly. We will definitely be back!
