What are fantastic stay! From the moment I arrived I was greeted by the wonderful staff and enjoyed talking to them. I loved my room, had a balcony with a view of The Park and Ferris wheel. The room was clean and very comfortable, and well appointed. The cable TV could have had more options but not a deal-breaker. It was off season for swimming so I didn't get a chance to check out the pool area. All of the common areas were comfortable and had some really cool memorabilia. Everybody I interacted with at this hotel was fantastic. I would say their little market is definitely expensive. $5 for a bottle of Coke or a candy bar. You can walk around the corner 100-ft to the convenience store and get one for a little more than half the price and a much bigger selection of items. The location

Positive: The location was perfect. Rideshare pickup with Uber and Lyft was quick and easy right at the hotel. The historical past of the property added a unique charm to the stay. Amenities matched the price paid—no surprises, just solid value. Negative: Feather-free pillows were requested & confirmed, but the room had both feather & foam. The TV in the extra living space only streamed, no live channels. One day, housekeeping removed the floor mat & didn’t replace it. Minor issues, not reported to staff.

I stayed at The American last week while attending the gift and home market, and this was my first stay here—but definitely not my last. From check-in to check-out, this was one of the friendliest hotels I’ve ever stayed at.||The front desk staff—Eric, Renee, and Maleeha—were outstanding. They greeted every guest with genuine smiles and conversation, and anything I needed was handled quickly and thoughtfully. When I mentioned needing more coffee, it was stocked in my room the next morning, and Maleeha also gave me a great recommendation for my return ride to the airport.||Traveling alone, I spent my evenings at Social 62, the hotel’s restaurant/lounge. I had a wonderful stay at the American Hotel in downtown Atlanta. The location is perfect, close to restaurants, attractions, and easy to get around the city. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. What really made my experience stand out was the exceptional service at the front desk. Maleena was absolutely fantastic, friendly, professional, and very helpful with all my questions and requests. She truly made me feel welcome. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Atlanta, and I will be back!
