The Alexander Hotel Miami

They advertise this place as a LUXURY MODERN hotel. What a joke. This was our third stop on this trip to Florida. Our first two were magnificent homes. This one, despite charging us $5000 for a four night stay was absolute daylight robbery! The apartment (616) was advertised as a four bed. Two of the bedrooms were actually cupboards....no windows and tiny! The air con was set to freezing cold and you could not change that. Maintenance came up twice but to no avail. They ended up giving us heaters and blankets - very nice of the reception staff to do that but we were forced to stay out of the apartment from the minute we woke up until bed time as it was far too uncomfortable. Hosted a large trip here with 25 people in multiple suites and it was perfect for a big group! Suites had space to hang out in, pool and beach was beautiful, and everything was comfortable and easy. The staff were super nice and accommodating. The front desk staff especially Sunil, Mari, and Alison were absolute angels, so friendly, and helped make hosting super easy. I would definitely come back for another group trip here!

I am impressed! From the very modern and clean rooms, the value, the outdoor space (2 pools, 2 hot tubs, 2 saunas one wet and one dry), the add on amenities (bike rentals) this place was everything I imagined it would be for my family. We were all different ages and it worked very well. We even had a baby with us and the hotel was very accommodating. Will definitely be returning!

This is not the first time we've stayed at the Alexander. There is a reason we keep coming back. This year our apartment was excellent. It was clean and in good condition. The valet people are super nice, the security guards and concierge are super friendly. The front deck seemed overworked and under staffed at times. There were two weddings within two days so maybe that's the reason. My kids love the pool and the outside area is so nice. Beach access is so easy. They don't allow food or snacks by the pool which is annoying. I have little kids who get hungry for chips. The bar there only sells real food and expensive. The overall location is excellent with easy access to the boardwalk. We took a nice bike ride down the boardwalk. I highly recommend the Alexander.

My stay at The Alexander was overall good, mainly thanks to the amazing service at the front desk. Mari new friend from Argentina, and Marta were exceptional friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful with everything I needed during my stay. They truly made a difference and are the reason I’m giving this hotel a higher rating. However, the hotel does need improvement in cleanliness. The elevators were noticeably dirty, and the hallway on level 12 also lacked proper cleaning, which took away from the overall experience. The location and service were great, but the maintenance and cleaning standards should be improved. With better attention to cleanliness, this hotel could easily be a solid 4-star stay. Mari and Marta deserve recognition for their outstanding customer service.
