The Adriatic Resort

just received a phone call from a time share company and now I’m stewing over our treatment at The Adriatic Villa in Palm Springs. It’s a dump! The only residents that should be allowed to live there are the cockroaches. When I arrived at our timeshare in December 2918, I was met by a person who gave me the wrong gate key and I was locked out for 30 minutes when I unloaded my car. When I arrived in the room to get settled, the tv wasn’t working, the room was dusty and smelly. There was one spoon in the drawer. No can opener, corkscrew or coffee pot! There was no personnel around and the office and restaurant were closed during my stay. The pool was not heated and I left two days early because the place became unbearable. This place is an absolute gem! Wonderful vintage (50's era) Palm Springs hotel. Two pools with hot tubs, lovely cabanas with shade (refuge from the hot desert sun). Spacious room with full kitchen with separate eating area, and updated bathroom. Spectacular views and convenient location. Gracious helpful and attentive management. Wonderful laid back vibe! This place is a quiet refuge to return to after your Palm Springs activities. Coffee service on site for all the guests. Walking distance to at least 4 outstanding brunch and supper restaurants.

I heard about BILLY REEDS restaurant in Palm Springs, near The Adriatic Villas resort. I stopped in last night for dinner. The menu is great & so are the prices. I chose the prime rib which was perfect, it came with a generous salad, garlic toast but I could have had soup, mini loaf corn or banana bread. I added a glass of wine and the bill was only $29.00 for all. As I was leaving I spoke to the gentleman at the counter to let him know all was great - it was Billy Reed himself!! He told me of the history & that the anniversary is coming up 12/7. Very inviting decor, excellent service, great menu - you can't go wrong.

This motel is the worst place we have stayed, ever! It was filthy. We had to get the bedding changed on our bed. It looked like some one had shed their entire skin through the bed, and all over the room. They hadn't changed the sheets, or vacuumed. If we hadn't already put our kids to bed we would have left. There were pubic hairs in the bed also. The staff made out like it was the strangest thing, ever, and that the sheets mustn't have been washed at the laundromat. There is no way you could have made that bed and not realised there was dry, over-tanned skin flakes (if that's what it was, I can't fathom it!) all over the sheets. Room was clean but the parking was very inconvenient (I had to trek a ways and go up some stairs). Hotel management wouldn't pick up the phone when I tried to call for an extra blanket at about 10:30 pm
