Terrapin Station

This property was absolutely amazing. This felt like such a 5-star resort. Everything felt like it was provided. The house was very connected. Outlets, switches, and nightlights everywhere. Definitely one of the most updated places we've stayed. The house was beautiful inside and out. The deck was a great place to hangout and enjoy the outdoors. The creek provided nice ambiance and fun for the kids. The kitchen was gourmet with stainless steel pots and pans touch screen oven, and all the cooking necessities you would need! You literally only need to bring clothes and food! It was a great extended weekend in the summer and hopefully we can enjoy in the winter months too! Thank you for sharing such a wonderful place with us!

The reason for choosing Terrapin Station was not because I dig the Grateful Dead, which I do, but because the location is perfect for getting in slope time in at Timberline. You can walk to the ski lodge from the cabin. Plus, when you want a change, it is a short drive to Canaan Valley. The cabin itself is very nice. There is a big mud room when entering with laundry machines. That was perfect coming in wet and dirty from skiing. Pull everything off, throw them in the washer and dryer. The main room was perfect for relaxing and having family movie nights. The kitchen is part of the main room which was nice to keep an eye on the kids while cooking and it had plenty of dishware and a dishwasher. This is a wonderful house, located at the foot of the mountain at the entrance of the ski resort. Plenty of large bedrooms make it easy to decide who gets what room, because they are all great. A great kitchen made cooking at the house easy. Plus tons of space to hang out in the main room and get warm after skiing. Definitely coming back!

We’ve stayed at this place a few times and have loved it. Very clean and spacious, fully stocked kitchen, and super comfortable beds. It’s great in the winter for skiing and within walking distance to Timberline. In the warmer months, there’s a small creek next to the property that has provided easy entertainment for my kiddos. Looking forward to staying again!

Great house for a family. The back deck is a great outdoor space. Would definitely stay again.
