Tarpon Tale Inn

We had a wonderful stay! Our room was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. Our room was spotless and everything seemed new and renovated. The sitting areas around our room were a nice touch - we ate outside and enjoyed the grounds. There were great restaurants very nearby as well as a coffee & ice cream shop. The bikes were a big plus - we loved exploring and town is very bike friendly. The beach was super close (an easy 3-minute walk or 1-minute bike ride). The beach was peaceful and clean. The staff (Wendy and Joe) were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel at home right away. We truly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely recommend Tarpon Tale to anyone looking for a pleasant, hassle-free experience.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Tarpon Tale Inn in Sanibel for a long weekend and it was transformative. Rarely does a place have the perfect combination of old world charm and yet all the amenities and conveniences that comes with modernization. This place truly has both. The owner Joe was so responsive to every single question before and during my stay. ||I stayed in the captains quarters, which had a separate king-size bedroom. The mattress was very comfortable, and the room quite large with a lovely enclosed back deck with chairs to sit in as well as a dining area. The kitchen had everything I needed for meals, and I found it very well equipped. ||I have to say the amenities that this place offers was what initially sold me on it. Stayed in the mermaid 🧜‍♀️ room for our anniversary,was an amazing weekend.staff was extremely friendly and informative,gave us a good lay of land and gave great recommendations. Once arrived didn't need to drive,everything is with walking distance or can go for a bike ride on which they provide,along with all the beach gear you'll need.literally walked across the street for an amazing dinner and a few drinks,walked back and watched a movie to end an amazing night. Can't recommend this place enough.

This inn has very comfy rooms with furnitures; The location is perfect, near the lighthouse and 5 minutes walk to beach; The owner family provides bikes, beach towels, and everything you can think of to enjoy the beach and the island. So far, the best family-like place to stay to enjoy the vacation! Joe and Connor are super nice to ensure your perfect experience!

We arrived spontaneously and the owner offered us the tarpon suite for a reduced rate since its original reservation had been cancelled. He was very nice and generous. All the rooms come with great perks, free rental bikes, free parking and beach gear (towels, chairs and umbrella) The tarpon suite was very beautiful, two big tvs, separate bathroom and full kitchen, patio with furniture and gas grill. It had a cold and quiet split AC unit in both rooms. All this was in walking distance to the lighthouse beach, which was the prettiest in our opinion. We had been traveling Florida for two weeks and this had been our favorite stay! We will definitely be back.
